Impact laser cutting machines are the perfect tool for cutting Plastics.
Display fabricators, signs manufacturers, store fixtures manufacturers and others are amazed by the overwhelming increase in efficiency, productivity, and flexibility our machines provide. More than once we heard the comment “How did we ever live without it?” by many of the existing owners of Impact machines.
The higher the power the faster the material cutting speed. Most plastics applications will use a minimum of 100 watts laser power. 3 mm (0.118”) Acrylic would cut at 1.5”/sec – 1.75”/sec with 100 watts laser and double that with 200 watts. To cut 1” acrylic we recommend a 200 watts laser, 0.15”/sec, or 400 watts 0.30”/sec.
Among the most common and easy to process plastics are Acrylics (extruded, cast, and mirror), Styrene, PETG, PVC, ABS, Polyurethane, Foam board, Delrin, Polyethylene, Polycarbonates, vinyl, and others.
