Impact lasers technology has been implemented and utilized in many production processes. Our machines offer benefits in the production of several product categories and industries that no other process can duplicate.
Plastics Flame Polished Parts – without flame polishing or any other secondary applications. Acrylic cutting will produce mirror like polish right off the machine. Extruded acrylic usually produces nicer polished edge than cast acrylic.
Perpendicular Edges – Using a 5” focal length lens would produce straight edges in acrylic up to 1” thick
Reduced Burr In Metals – For steel up to 0.0625” (1.5mm). Nitrogen assist will produce cleaner edges.
Material Yield – the width of the beam is 0.006” allowing for tight nesting of parts and less material waste. Material yield with laser cutting can produce many more parts from a blank material sheet than most other method of cutting.
Low Labor Costs – An operator can operate the machine and perform other tasks at the same time. One operator can run several laser machines at one time.
Intricate & Small Parts – Impact lasers can produce parts that are not possible with any other cutting method.
No Tools – The laser beam is the tool. It does not dull or break.
One Tool – No need to change bits or keep bits on hands. The laser beam will do all.
Intricate Cutting Ability – “if you can draw it, we can cut it”. Impact machines will produce any parts regardless of its intricacy, size, or the sharpness of the angles.
No Contact – There is no need for clamping, taping or other holding methods as the beam does not come in contact with the material.
Production Versatility – Whether prototyping, a small or a large production job. Programming and setting up new jobs takes seconds allowing for quick change between jobs. No re-tooling, setting up jigs, or tapping is required.
No External Input – Only shop air is required. For most plastics as low as 2 psi is sufficient.
Large Cutting Area – Utilize material blank size up to 60” x 120”
Clean Work Place – Laser cutting does not produce dust or chips. It vaporizes the material.
Profit Center – The capital, operating and labor costs of a Laser machine are substantially lower than the profits generated from operation. Substantial profits could be generated from operating a custom laser cutting shop and substantial savings and high ROI would result by using the machine for in-house production.
